Boeing Selects Covalent to Provide Streamlined and Optimized Structured On-the-Job Training and Resource Management

BOSTON, Feb. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Covalent, the leader in Workforce Operations software for complex discrete manufacturing, announced today that Boeing has selected Covalent’s Capability Management solution to enable Structured On-the-Job Training (“SOJT”) for mechanics and quality inspectors across dozens of manufacturing and aftermarket sites globally. The selection follows a multi-month proof-of-concept across multiple sites in 2024.

With Covalent, Boeing can digitally organize, plan, and execute systematic SOJT that integrates relevant work experience data. This can improve overall training and also give frontline leaders real-time visibility into job-specific capabilities and bench strength. The initiative aligns with Boeing’s broader workforce training efforts to improve efficiency and ensure readiness for production.

“Our goal at Covalent is to help our manufacturing customers build workforce capabilities and strengthen their competitiveness,” said Andrew Knez, Covalent CEO. “Boeing is an industry leader and a vital national asset, so we’re proud to play a role in supporting their teams and their operations.”
