Embrace the Spirit of Japan as Taste of Japan Festival Returns to STC Anaheim GardenWalk


ANAHEIM, Calif., May 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Experience the magic of Japan without leaving Orange County at Taste of Japan, happening Friday, June 13 to Sunday, June 15 at STC Anaheim GardenWalk. People of all ages who love Japanese culture can enjoy authentic Japanese food, watch cultural performances by various talents, and participate in contests and other activities throughout the weekend. This year marks the 6th anniversary of Taste of Japan, and with over 100,000 festival-goers celebrating Japanese culture each year, this will be another unforgettable event filled with food and fun.

This year’s event introduces something new to kick off the weekend. Taste of Japan presents Tokyo City Lights, an epic night of music, food, and culture at the House of Blues in the STC Anaheim GardenWalk. Enjoy performances by TeddyLoid, Vantage, MILK TALK, Fibre, Discoholic, Ken Harada, and DJ Hello Kitty, returning for an unforgettable set. Every ticket holder gets a chance to win amazing exclusive prizes.

Over 100 of the best Japanese vendors in Southern California will be selling delicious food and fun goodies all weekend at this dog-friendly event, spread across all levels of the STC GardenWalk. Everything from traditional Japanese meals to street food will be available from crowd-favorite eateries in the street food alley – called Oishii Yokocho – including Kagura, Takoyaki Tanota, Midoh, and many more.

Each day of the festival, enjoy live entertainment from traditional Japanese drummers, martial artists, anime, and other Japanese pop culture phenomenons on the main stage. For art enthusiasts, Takumi Alley, a creative and cultural market space, will be full of Japanese art, handmade crafts, and other unique products to shop. Visitors can participate in family-friendly cultural activities including traditional Japanese festival games like: Hit the Can, Candy Catching Game, Ring Toss, and more. There will also be toy and anime vendors, making this celebration of the island nation a delight for any age.

For the adults, there will be Yokocho, Taste of Japan’s 21 and up, 13,000 square foot indoor VIP beer and sake garden. Taste your way through an authentic Japanese beer and sake experience, with traditional bar snacks and beverages, hosted by Honda-Ya Japanese restaurant. 

STC Anaheim GardenWalk is located in Anaheim, Calif., on 400 W Disney Way, near Disney’s California Adventure. Parking is available in the venue’s 4-story parking garage, as well as 2 additional overflow parking lots nearby, with exact locations soon to be announced. Taste of Japan encourages ride shares for Yokocho VIP guests.

Taste of Japan Festival’s general admission is free.

Tickets for Tokyo City Lights x Taste of Japan are now available online for $60. Yokocho VIP tickets are offered as: $15 for general admission, which includes either 2 beer tastings, 3 sake tastings, or non-alcoholic beverages, a $60 “Brew & Bite” beer tasting package, and a $75 “Sake Lovers” sake tasting package.
